Physical injuries
Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) are commonly acquired through repetitive actions at work or doing hobbies like knitting or playing tennis. To prevent reoccurrence you have to first become aware of what you are doing to your body and then to stop doing it. This might involve finding another posture for your body, a different hand position on the keyboard, or at least to vary the position and to make sure any tension is fully released after working or doing the particular activity.
Repetitive strain leads to holding a great deal of tension in that part of the body, which gets locked in and can become long-lasting. The Boulderstone Technique works directly on the tension, releasing it on a deep level so that the area frees up and can function normally again.
A woman came to our clinic with diagnosed carpal tunnel in both wrists, a strained left hand and damaged tendons in her right hand, with a huge amount of tension in the palm and lumps at the base of her fingers. She would drop things she was trying to hold. After one session with the Boulderstone Technique she said:
‘I’ve been really impressed that my hand has been a lot less tense - that ridge (the tendon) has gone right down. The left hand is completely fine now - as if nothing was ever wrong. My right hand is reduced to a very slight tension where before it was like a taut string. My wrists don’t ache any more.’
After the second session she said: ‘My hands are so much better, absolutely brilliant’ -CD, Tunbridge Wells
We use the Boulderstone Technique on whiplash, back problems, frozen shoulder, sciatica, knees, ankles and any other parts of the body where we can help. We release the trauma of accidents or surgery to enable the body to recover more quickly.
‘My back has never been so good - I couldn’t believe it - I feel as if I’m in heaven!’ KS, Tunbridge Wells (aged 71)
‘My neck problem which caused me years of very painful headaches is very much improved. I have not had a headache since the last treatment from you’ JM, Ticehurst
