Tom
In 1995 a neurologist said I probably had M.S. but it wasn’t officially diagnosed until 2002.
Seeing John has helped on the intellectual level to get a whole perspective on it all. The Boulderstone Technique has helped my growth as a human being and as a way of dealing with whatever comes along. Mental conflicts that used to literally floor me by travelling right through to my legs so that I could feel them buzzing, that doesn't happen to me now. At work I used to feel it with difficult phone calls, feeling them in my legs. Not now. There has been a shift.
In 1998 I was told that my vocal box had collapsed on one side. John has sorted that. My voice used to fade and disappear completely, especially when I was lying down. Now my voice works normally as it did before. There have been times when we've worked on my legs and they have come right back to normal functioning, but at the moment this improvement isn't permanent, so it needs more work. By myself I can call on my own life force to walk well for fifteen minutes but cannot sustain it for longer yet.
When I first came to John I was emotionally dead, completely flat. The healing involved an awakening of my Self. At the very beginning, all my emotions were stirred up and I started to feel again. All my friends think I am so much better for it. They say I have a much better spark and I am generally much more alive. I have much greater self-awareness.
There is so much that the Boulderstone Technique is helping me to undo in the way of blockages, nasty situations etc, but it has also been good working on the good things in life. Now I can actually take note and appreciate when I am really enjoying something, not being numb to it. Being more aware means being more open to good experiences as well as dealing better with the bad times. I am far more confident now in dealing with whatever comes. On the physical level for example, I have more confidence in my voice, that it will be there when I need it.
I still have difficulty lifting heavy weights, moving things around and doing things quickly, but this is improving. I am able to play in two brass bands, which involves a lot of travelling and practising. In the past if I played badly I would come out floored and shaking. Now this rarely happens as I rarely have a bad rehearsal. I am playing better than before. Getting in touch with my life force is crucial. And making time for myself, like to do the head clearing exercises to clear myself. I can use it to get rid of odd pains as they come up, like in my knee. It's my appreciation and enjoyment of life that is so much better.
I feel anything is possible and that is very positive. I feel there is a chance to change and not to continue down the same old path.
